Forgotten Folklore Ireland - Lakes
For many years traditional fairy tales from all over the world have been a great source of inspiration for writing and is a timeless part of literature. In our own culture we have an invaluable tradition of Celtic mythology, folklore, written and oral tales of ‘the little folk’ and their esteemed place in nature. Aspects of nature such as forests, the ocean and mountains are within our reach for walking, exploring and visiting yet they always maintain their own ways and life force which will always be unknown to us. They will always have their own mysteries and inhabitants that we can never know of – and this is a vital part of their essence. Forests are one of our most loved parts of the natural world and every part of the globe has its own type and tradition – European, tropical rainforests, mountain and many more.
