'Irish Film Studies' & 'The Irish Troubles in Film & TV'
Patrick Brodie is a FRQSC Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Art History and Communication Studies at McGill University and a Scholar in Residence in the School of Irish Studies at Concordia University. He received his PhD in Film and Moving Image Studies from Concordia. His current research unravels the environmental geopolitics of global data and energy infrastructures, and he is completing a book project called Wild Tides: Media Infrastructure and Financial Crisis in Ireland. His academic work has appeared in Media, Culture and Society, Information, Communication and Society, Environment and Planning E: Nature and Space, Canadian Journal of Communication, Culture Machine, and his public scholarship has been published in The Irish Times, Journal.ie, and Rupture: Eco-Socialist Quarterly. He is a member of the Grierson Research Group at McGill and the Global Emergent Media Lab at Concordia.
