The Folk Alliance International Conference is the world’s largest gathering of the Folk music industry and community (crossing a diverse array of genres including Blues, Bluegrass, Roots, Celtic, Cajun, Appalachian, Traditional, World, and Singer-Songwriter). The annual February conference draws over 2,500 artists and industry (agents, managers, publishers, labels, festival/venue presenters, promoters, media) dedicated to folk music.

Culture Ireland  undertook its inaugural mission to the Annual Folk Alliance International Conference Kansas City, Missouri in  February, 2015. Culture Ireland hosted a stand at the conference fair and also at Montreal in Feb 2019, and offered support to bands who were selected by the Conference to showcase at the event.
