Dr Johanna Clancy on Celtic Irish American Academy

Offering you a unique, transformational experience that adds significant long-term value to your personal development and career outcomes is the core of the Celtic Irish American Academy (CIAA) summer program.

This family-run program is founded and managed by Brian Fahy and his daughter, Dr. Johanna Clancy. The duo had the idea for creating a program like this for quite some time, motivated by strong family and business ties in the United States, deep knowledge and appreciation of the United States - Irish relationship, and a combined 40 years experience in the second and third level education sector.

Celtic Irish American Academy is an international summer school for American, Canadian and European high school students. The 2019 summer school runs from Sunday July 14th to Saturday July 27th. The summer school is based in Galway City, recently voted the world's friendliest city, home of the Claddagh ring, and regarded as the cultural capital, on the west coast of Ireland. Our mission is to provide you  with an adventurous, fun and unique insight to your Irish heritage.

Students engage in an intellectually stimulating and deeply enriching exploration of their Irish heritage and its intimate bond with the United States. We offer an exciting combination of tours, classes, sports and volunteering. From hiking in the Wild Atlantic Way, to strolling down the cobblestone streets, to learning traditional Irish music and Gaelic language, there is an adventurous program in store for you!
