Global Young Parliamentarians Conference Ottawa 2017


Jack Chambers is a 27yr old member of the Irish Parliament (Dail)
He was born in Galway to Mayo parents and at the age of two moved to Dublin West where he grew up and went to school.
At an early age, he took a keen interest in economic and public affairs. He holds an honours degree in Law and Political Science from Trinity College and has studied medicine at RCSI. At the 2014 local elections, he was elected at the head of the poll in Fingal County Council. He has also served as the Deputy Mayor.

He was appointed as Junior Healthcare Spokesperson with a focus on Community and the National Drugs Strategy. Also he sits on the Dail Justice Committee. He has an active input in scrutinising legislation and providing amendments. This is an important part of parliamentary oversight.
